I read many articles a few years ago about fish targeting the eyes on their prey, so all my baits have about a hundred of 'em. Crosseyed for sure. Not certain if that helps, but what the hey, worth a try.

I just stepped up to the plate and created the "Rubber Mary"

I have this picture of a fish in my head. I see bait after bait swimming right past her face and they are just ignored.
And then "Along Comes Mary".....................................

I've conceptualized a "football" shaped and proportined bait called the "Hail Mary" (trademark pending). It will have "Screw Eyes" at random locations around the bait to attach the hooks to. The 'Randomeyes" as I will call them (trademark pending) will serve to offset the equalibrium of the target fish by creating wave form that is foreign to the fish. Curiosity will draw the prey in and the pigskin will kick in the maternal instinct of the Sow at which time she will pick up the bait to place it back in safe water. Then WHAM! ....touchdown!

....man, I just had the craziest dream.... I AM SPONGE!

Don't forget the "mother" of all the baits the Blessed Virgin Mary Bait, they just follow the light to it for eternal muskyness.

What about a Bloody Mary for those early morning biters?

What about the 'Mary-jane' for when they get the munchies.

My 'slow bite' version of the "Hail Mary" (since "I am SPONGE!)  will be the "Hail Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary!"

...sorry......

Why not make a bait that's just one big bloodshot eyeball called "scary Mary"

What about the Mary Poppins ,put hooks on that interesting creature on her umbrella that would make a great bait.

Gooder one Todd! We'll call the bait the "Pink Eye", and maybe the fish will use the hooks to scratch and hook itself...
