Location: North Central PA		never had a GPS-chartplotter before and the instructions for hookup are not very clear to me. The power cord that atatches to the battery via a fused line has three wires Red fused positive and a black neg but what is the yellow one for? Also there is a data cable 5 wire for wiring 2 different NMEA 1813 configurations. What are these for and what do they hook to? Need advice please

Accessory Wake-up. Don't worry about it, just tape it so it won't short.

The NMEA ports are for connecting to other networked marine electronics.
