I fished the Cave yesterday in the rain along with about 15 other boats.
The lake is 31 feet above pool and muddy. The clearest water to be found
only has a foot or two of visibility. I recorded surface temps between 56 and
60 degrees. The lake is still rising slightly. The bite is very tough right now. I
spoke to several locals who said things have been very slow with only a few fish
being caught. Weather ahead: We have a cold front moving in on Tuesday
with lows in the low 40's to high 30's for most of the week and highs around
low 50's. We start to warm up on Friday with a low of 50 for next Saturday
morning (PMTT) and a high of 64. Sunday looks similar. There is a chance of
rain every day this week but no major precipitation is expected. The forcast
for next weekend's PMTT is mostly sunny with a 30/40 % chance of showers each day. Hope this helps.

Its going to be some bad conditions for the PMTT .. my guess is the water will have to be dropping rapidly unless some one with some serious pull can talk the boss's into letting the lake be stable for a few days .

Even if it is stable , its going to be " trolling the parking lots" and cast to the picnic tables .

Just got back from Cave - Managed 3 fish in 3 days. Trolling the parking lot thing is not going. Most lots are 15' under water. Stayed in Tony's camp. No trolling bite whatsoever. Greg T has caught 2 fish trolling ALL season. Fish are absolutely hugging the shore. Finding any castable shoreline is a real challenge - the water is 1/2 way up the tree lines. Casting the shoreline is how every single fish in camp was caught. I mean you have to hit right where water meets shore with casts...
