| When you guys and gals are fishing during the night do you keep your headlamps on all the time or are you fishing in the completely dark of the Night. If you are you using headlamps what one are you using. |

Location: MN | White light will spook fish. Some guys I fish with use red light at night and catch fish boatside and they say the fish don't see red light. Predator hunters use red light as well. I've always fished with no light but I bought a headlamp that has a low red light mode that I'm going to try this season. |

Location: MN | I use glow tape on my leader and charge it with my head lamp. Otherwise light is off while casting. |

Location: Waukee, IA | Large glow bead in front of the leader. Visible and keeps your rod tip looking new. Lamp off though while I'm fishing. |

Location: S.Wisconsin | I keep my light off. Let your eyes adjust to the dark and roll With it. With your light on your eyes will be adjusting too much to the light and dark. Remember everytime you look at something that reflects light back at you will mess with your night vision. Only time the headlamp comes on for me is when a fish is hooked up or I'm untangling baits. That's just my 2 cents |

Location: Wakefield, MI | I keep mine turned off, only use it for unhooking fish and finding the boat landing and such (also keep a big spotlight on board for that).
Don't forget to change your fish finder to night mode, and the lights on my trolling motor are really bright so I throw a glove or something over them so they don't blind me.
I use a Browning Nitro head lamp. I've had many over the years, this thing crushes any other one that I've had. Has bright, dim, red, and green lights. |

Location: Hudson,WI | I occasionally use the red light setting on my head lamp. But I also switched out my tips to carbiloy tips so if I reel my leader into the tip top I won't crack them. |
