| Hi all,
I am in the market for a new battery charger (or two depending upon the answer to this inquiry). I have 3 batteries on my boat -- two trolling motor batteries for my 24V minn kota and starter battery. Is there any reason why I shouldn't use the same 3 bank charger -- like a pro mariner prostart+ or minn kota 315d -- to charge all three together? I'm just wondering considering they are different types of batteries? Any help in this matter from someone who knows their electronics well would be greatly appreciated!
Tight lines . . .

| No problem, just get a three bank and you're good. I am not sure about say 2 agm and one lead acid, but a battery charger is a battery charger, it doesn't matter what the batteries are hooked up to. | |

Totally not true. There are differences in the batteries, and battery chargers.
for instance, AGM's can accept a higher rate of charge, but also need a slightly lower float charge than wet cell batteries.
Lots of discussion here. Look for it.
