| As the waters are now finally beginning to open up, what will
Be the first bait you'll pull out of your plano and strap on for the early but new season?
And why would you choose that bait, personal preference or
Confidence bait? |

| Not new season here, but going 4 days to Sweden tomorrow, on the hunt for a 47.2 inch + pike (my next goal 120 cm)
One of the first to hit the water would be a Andree lures T-bag tail bait. Birthday gift from the girlfriend, and it looks awesome slow rolled in the cold clear water :D

| It's a bit early to tell, but I would consider a AP, also I love Monster Lures Rabid Squirrel , or Super Shad Rap. |

Location: Minnesota. | A few home-made Suicks to tune them and "see" how it goes. Might take awhile...
Then a new topwater prop-job.
I fly-fish some streamers for them this time of year so that's going to take some time too.
Then it'll get dark! :-))

| Depending on June water temp I'll throw phantom soft tails if it's relatively cold otherwise I'll probably be cruising the usual break lines with new growth using a crankbait. |

| When June rolls around if the water is still relatively cold I'll be throwing glide baits like a phantom soft tail. Otherwise a 6-8 inch crank bait over new veggies should work well for me, hopefully. |

Location: Lake Elmo, MN | Easy...... (Once season opens) I'll put on a silver blade and purple bucktail..... Mepps Musky Killer.
It has always been my go-to bait up around Wiley Point on LOW each June. Right after that however is the Black Fury in Chartreusse and black bucktail. |

Location: Hayward, WI | Pretty commonly the first bait of the year will be a walleye color Hardhead - 8 oz size. I don't often "downsize" baits, even early in the year and pretty much use what I use all year right off the bat. The exception is I haven't had a lot of luck on big double blades early in the year, but I've heard of it working. |
