Location: Mt. Zion, IL | I use one to control fish in the net that are deeply hooked. I wouldn't leave home without one. Please, however, do not pick up a fish with a boga grip style tool. That can cause damage to the fish and jaw structure. |

| I use the Lucid grip sometimes on the Kayak. Just like a Boga but much cheaper. |

| I have the Lucid grips and they do have the rotating head. Much more reasonable price tag than the Boga, but equally well built from what I can tell. |

Location: Money, PA | Very Well worth the money IMHO....I've been using this tool for 15+ years...In my opinion, the Boga does less damage than any net if used properly. Don't skimp and by the original and it will last you a lifetime, unless you drop it in the drink! LOL
I also created an extension for mine which works awesome as well. You can work the mechanism up higher and away from the fishs' mouth and flailing lures. I'll try to find a picture And you CAN hold the fish up with one, as long as you support the fishes weight under the belly....

Location: pittsburgh, pa | I agree with paul completely. Used 60lb boga for 10 plus year and as long as you hook it in the correct spot you will not have it do any jaw damage. I have personally never had a muskies jaw get broken like people say and i boga 100s of fish a year. Would not leave home without mine. Great for controlling big fish in net and good for landing and unhooking over the side of the boat for smaller fish that dont need measured. I dont use the net really at all unless its high 40s or over 50. No measurement needed otherwise. Just unhook and let swim away. |

Sure does! Its a very nice grip all stainless, foam handle, rotating head and built in scale. I dont use the scale on Skis because you would have to vertically hold by the grip but for other fish its fine. The grips can put a tiny hole in the fish but its no worse then a hook. Lees bait and tackle carry them if you're interested in checking one out. |

| What model are you guy's using for Muskie, the 30lb. or the 60lb. I don't really plan on using the scale but thinking it would be nice for holding the fish in the net while taking the hard to get hooks out. I see the 60lb. is longer & heavier, could be a good thing or bad ? Cabela's has them on sale right now plus you earn 15% points back on your card. |

| Don't buy anything from cabelas unless its a real boga or lucid. Most are cheap that will hurt fish. As for lucid grips i went with the 30 cause I don't weigh skis and none of the other fish I go for are that heavy |

I agree with Todd!! When I bought mine on ebay, it came with a float. Sometimes the sellers offer the float for free. |

Location: pittsburgh, pa | And the float works even with a 54" attached. Buddy went head over heals releasing the fish in the drink and let go of everything to get back in boat. I was more worried about the my boga and the fish then my buddy. Lol |

| Used as a means to control a fish I the net, the boga actually makes dehooking safer and quicker for the fish and humans involved. I would not recommend Lifting the fish with it.
I wouldn't fish without it. |
