I have an 8' St Croix Muskie Mojo with lure weight of 2-6 oz.

Am I okay to use the Musky Innovations Pounder Lure with this rod or should I be concerned?

JMO but your going to overload the rod. My guess is the rod will throw it but its going to load up way too much. I think you would be much happier with a Big Dawg SC rod. One of the best pounder rods on the market.

You could probably throw them but not very effectively. If you like the mojo then you'll need to step up to the 8'6" XH, otherwise for a little less you could get a TI XXH.

If you want a mojo to throw pounders with, step up to the 8'6" XH. The rod you have will not handle it.

If you're looking for other options, the new camo TI XXXH would be my pick.

Thanks everybody. Looks like I may be making a return and ordering XXXH from Tackle Innovations. Appreciate the advice.
