Location: Land of the Musky | We have been working on all new 9'6", 10' and 10'6" telescopic rods (MH, XH and XXH). Testing is completed and we will have them out this year. It will be late June/July when we release the new telescopic rods. These are some bad rods for sure. Super light with all new blank designs. Had to source some new stronger (and lighter) materiel for the new blanks being this long. The new materiel is so good we will be moving all of our current rods over to this material by 2016.
One extra tidbit in info The NEW 9'6", 10' and 10'6" telescopic rods will also be available in blanks!! 3 powers of blanks: MH (1-4oz lures), XH (2-8oz lures) and XXH (up to 16oz lures).
Tackle Industries will be the first ONLY rod company to ever offer blanks like these to builders and to the general public. So, if you have a favorite rod builder have them contact us ASAP. We are taking orders for the blanks right now. We will have limited numbers of TI finished rods and blanks due to the unique nature of these rods. I did not want to invest a lot of $$$ until I find out that these new rods will actually sell well.
Can't wait!!!

Location: Hayward, WI | That sounds awesome! Are you selling blanks to the general public yet?
Would you say the actions of the new rods are the same as they were or have they changed at all? I like the sounds of a 9'6" telescopic a lot. |

Location: Land of the Musky | Blanks will be out late June/July along with the first set of the new rods!! Can't wait for these to be our of production. Been working on them for almost a year now. The actions are really close to the 9' MH, XH and XXH actions. That was the harder part to zero in on. I could have came out with them about a month ago but I wanted a few more rounds of testing and it was well worth it. |

Price?
Getting this question a lot... The rods are costing us about $17-$20 average more to make so instead of "profiting" on that I was just planning on taking up my MSRP by $20 so $165+$20 would be a final retail of $185 for these new long tele rods. As usual, our goal is to make quality fishing tackle and keep it affordable for everyone. So far I think we are doing a good job
I plan on pre-asking all of my retailers and rod builders WHO will be carrying these rods in a few months. I will post this info as soon as I get it so you can all visit your favorite retailer/custom rod builder. I think we will pick up a few more retailers with this rod too. If not, they are going to miss out on some super sale opportunities! WE are always doing our best to get the product in stores near you but don't worry if you our out of some sales territory, there are a few really good online retailers that can take care of you and many have FREE shipping!!

| I'd be really interested in the 10'6 blank. Do you think it would be possible and turn out well to have a rod builder build me a 2 piece rod with the blank? I have the ti 9ft mh 2piece and love it, I would like a rod similar to it only longer. |

| This is unbelievable! I had to buy a stock 9' rod and have the cork and reel seat stripped down to have a custom 10'3" Pounder rod made (i did they same to have a 10'3" Bucktail rod made). It's nice to see that I won't have to have all that done for the next one.
As a side note, for those guys who haven't fished with a 10'+ rod, you don't know what you are missing. Figure-8's are a total breeze with real wide turns and you can go 4' deep without much effort. |

Rods will reduce by 18 inches. Hence the longest one being 10'6" as we can only ship up to 9' tubes... I would have went for a 11' but that would need to be a 2pc rod. |

Jeremy with Tuscarora will be building a few prototypes on the blanks soon. You should call or email him with your build Qs. He can do about anything! |

Do you know when you'll have split grips available on these rods?
If these sell well I will add the split grips for early 2016. My main issue is space to store inventory now. I have two buildings, a 50x70 and a 60x180 and they are almost full. With my new VEXAN bass and walleye rods in full production now they will be full soon. Growing pains I hope to "retire" in 2 years to one 40 hr a week job and at that time we may move closer to family and if so, I have a 100x200 main inventory building in mind with another building by its side at 30x40 (shipping&receiving area). If I fill that I just need to be put away.... Rods take up a lot of room. Much more vs lures.

What is the price on the new blanks?
Still working on the blank price but it will be around $80-$90 I think. Trying to keep it on the low end so guys can build some killer rods on these blanks with their custom rod builders. Already had 5 custom rod builders contact me on these. Contact your rod builder and have them contact me ASAP if they want one. If I run out of blanks it will be December 2015 before I have more ready to go. I will have 50 per power per size available. |

Brad already has most of my rods in Canada so if you need one contact him ASAP. He get the rods shipped in bulk so it cheaper than buying them form me plus I can't ship the long rod to Canada for less than $100 FedEx shipping too...

Long rods do take some getting used to. I've built several long rods for myself and I have a 10' on the drying rack right now. It hasn't taken me long at all to get used to a longer rod. Right about the time I did my first figure 8 I was sold! They're obviously not practical for all applications but they excel for blades and rubber (I use them occasionally for cranks).

Forgot to mention, this rod will also be available late June/July this year. I think I have 78 total NEW rods in production right now. Most are not for the musky/pike world but about 25 are. I will have all new bass, walleye, crappie, inshore and some Striper rods coming soon too. never imagined I would become more of a rod company vs a musky lure company but its happening fast and mostly thanks to you guys pushing me to do new things!!!

They will be ready late June/July time frame. LOL if Fuji just carried reel seats in stock all the time I would have them sooner. |
