Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | How did you do on the Nation's muskie waterways this weekend? I got the boat rigged, and am at the Mercury Marine O.E.M. meeting in Osh Kosh. No fishing for me this weekend. NEXT weekend, though...:) |

Location: Kalamazoo, MI | Skunked on Campau. Had a few follows, found one ~30" dead belly up in the weeds, and 100 yards down shore got a story from a guy sitting on shore saying he saw a couple guys catch a 30" a couple days ago (which would have been out of season). Between a single follow for me, lack of catches, dead musky, and outrageously rude and disruptive recreational boats, it wasnt exactly what I had hoped for as an opener. I did catch a few bass as a consolation.

Location: St. Louis, MO | Fished Webster with 2 other musky nuts over the weekend. Water temp mid to upper 50s. Friday, 1 mid 30" follow, 1 20" fish in the boat on a shad-rap. Sat, post front, blue bird sky no sighting. Sun - no muskies.
Very little weed growth in the main lake. |

Location: Elgin, IL | One chunky 38 from the Fox Chain on Sunday afternoon. Fish looked pretty beat up from the spawn. |

Location: Racine, Wi | Saw 6 fish on the Chain on Sat during the Challunge. Had one low 30" fish take a swipe at a Depth Raider. Other than that the fish were not active. They looked like they were in the process of spawning, or just done. |

Location: Chicago, Beverly | One mid 30" fish followed to the boat on sunday. Water temps high 50's except some shallow areas in 62-64 range. Found one spot that was reading upper 60's but was so shallow the boat got stuck, lots of nice largemouth in that spot. Near webster. |
