Location: Appleton,WI | We all buy suckers in the fall and am willing to pay $4.00 to $6.00 per sucker for ONLY one fish. What would you pay for a hard bait knowing it would only catch one or two fish like a sucker??? |

Location: Green Bay, WI | People buy Bulldogs and Live Action Baits all the time and those only produce a few fish before they have to be replaced. I would rather have to replace a bait because a fish destroyed it, than to throw a bait all year without any success. |

After looking at the sales of Bulldawgs I don't think durability is the biggest quality people look for in baits. As long as the fish attracting, hooking and holding qualities are good people will buy them. |

Location: Ft. Wayne Indiana | $4.00-6.00 for a sucker is not outragious. Think about all the stuff we spend money on. I buy a can of Cope before I hit the water. There is $4.25. I buy a 2 liter of soda for $1.25. I buy a bag of chips for $2.00. Look at the amount of lures we have. Most lures today cost about $20 a piece. I have enough lures to open a small musky shop, do I complain about that? No, do I stop buying lures, no I don't.
It it only cost $4.00 to catch a MONSTER, I am willing to pay it everyday. And just in case you were wondering, I am a school teacher that doesn't make anything.

My opinion would be around $7-8. Maybe extra if they are painted or have some other special color going on. |

I should ignore your response to MuskieE like the others who responded on this thread did, but I can not....
Very convenient to not post your name or e-mail when you post a message / response like that. You must look for someting to comlain about everyday. If you are a friend of MuskieE and/or meant your comments as a joke, disregard this message and accept my apologies. But it sure did not come across that way.

I would definitely pay more for a proven hard bait, even if it only catches one or two fish, as long as it moves BIG fish. I'm not sure how MANY times I would buy that bait, but I would pay it a few times for sure. I think about if I was fishing with a guide....what would I tip a guide if he/she put me on ONE 50"+ or 35-40 lb. fish, $30 - yes, $50 - probably. |
