Location: Moses Lake, WA | Here's a jig that spins along the pull axis on both the upward and downward strokes when fished vertically. Locals on Moses Lake use a variant of this for walleye by taking a spoon, splitting it along half its length, and twisting the two sections out in opposite directions. This one is solid lead and 14 ounces so it's more appropriate for halibut than muskies, but it's not that tough to make lead/resin composites in lighter weights. I'll give it a try in Alaska this August. I gave it a test drive last week out on the lake and it spun like a champ.
