Been wanting to upgrade my lure retrieval chances for a while so this is what I came up with. The Bass Pro Shops E-Z Lure Retriever has done fairly good for me but i'm hoping mine will do even better with big musky lures! Can't wait to try it out... NO I DON"T want to have to try it out, but you know what I mean! Oh ya, don't look to close i'm not a good welder.

Might want to hang a few chain sections down the center too.

What do you guys put on the end to lower it down? I use a nylon rope but would like something more dense to get down to the bait faster.

Mine is like your old one about 12 different size chains on it ....but I have a Dog FLEXI LEAD on mine it's a 25' & retractable and is made for XXlg Dogs 100-150lbs.......I have used it now for over 9 years, with 100% retrieval record........ .push the button and it goes down, throw the thumb switch and it locks the line.. Works great and strong enough to bring up giant tree limbs of the bottom........ *** FLEXI DOG LEAD ***

Put a few more chains of different sizes and lengths and fasten it to the spot you have chains on now...and just tie a Flexi Lead retractable Dog lead cord on and it will be Bullet proof...... Mine is in my boat Snow covered.... Mike
