In about a month I'm going to go pick up my row troller, and a few weeks ago I picked up a Lowrance Elite 7 Chirp. What do I have to do to seal up the holes when I mount the transducer? Drilling into wood below the waterline makes me a bit nervous.

How about mounting to a poly board and adhering that board to the boat with some adhesive, no holes in the boat that way.

That was my other thought, if I can't find a good solution I may go that way.

You could use some aluminum to rig up a bracket that you can attach above the waterline/on top of the transom. I did this when I wanted to transfer my transducer between 2 boats, it worked quite well. With a little engineering it could be worked into something more permanent.

That might be my best bet. I was going to buy a second transducer to mount on my dads boat so I could use my Lowrance on there. This will make it much better, no idea why I didn't think to look for something like this. Thanks man!

Yes, that's the one. I have beat the snot out of my go-devil and that bracket has held up to everything. I didn't have alot of faith in it at first, but i'm using mine for the fourth year now and am very impressed. Very easy on easy off. Highly recommend it. good luck
