Buying a new lund and haven't had a 3 bank charger before. Options come with Dual Pro 3 bank charger and debating on running a 6amp or 15amp. I usually would only need to charge over night and don't see the need for the 15amp, but was wondering if there is any difference with helping extend battery life with lower amp recharges.
A whole other debate would be going with a minnkota MK315D and again 5 or 10 amp rates?
Any tips or experience with any of these would be great?

I was told by the interstate sale person that deep cycles should not be charged faster than 6 amp and AGM faster than 10. Just what she told me.
She's wrong.
Wet cells should be charged at no more than 10A. It will take a 20A rate, but the higher the current, the more heat at the post connection, and that will, over time weaken the battery. Heat is not a friend of batteries.
AGM batteries have much lower internal resistance, and can be charged at a much higher rate without the heat buildup of the wet cell.
AGM batteries are sensitive to overcharging. FLoat voltage should not exceed 2.30 volts per cell, or 13.8 volts for 12V battery. Some chargers can be configured for the different battery types.

Check out the service to the outlet you will use. If it is GFCI it may be trouble at higher AMPs. I have fried two. Electrician coming this spring to change my breaker and get rid of that GFCI config.
