| I want to buy a Revo Toro NACL 60. I Am going to using it for big blades and rubber. Just wondering what gear ratio you guys and gals on here recommend. would the 6.4 high speed be better or the 5.4 standerd. any info would be helpful. Thanks. |

| The 5.4 is a good happy medium reel between the Toro Winch and a HS gear like a 6.4. The 6.4 is good for line pick up on rubber, but is geared a little high for big blades. I think if you are buying one reel to use for both, I would go with the 5.4.

Location: Minnesota | Not the same reel but I like high speed tranx for rubber pg for blades. I would say that would be for all reel's . When ripping and jerking rubber I like a reel that picks up line fast. When tossing big blades I want a reel with power so it's easy to bring in those big blades with out getting worn out.

Location: Hayward, WI | I vote 5.4. I think they do 26" per crank, which isn't terribly slow, and the power handle gives enough leverage that reeling pretty fast is possible if you want.
I have been really impressed with the 5.4 NACL 60 I bought last year. Planning to buy another this year. |

Location: sneaking out to get on the water ;-) | Yep I agree with the others. I have both NaCl and the 5.4 with power handle is awesome for big blades but i prefer the hs for rubber and jerk/glide baits. If getting just one go with the 5.4 so you have plenty of power for the big blades. |

| Agreed 60 5.4 is the best for big blades. Actually its a great do everything reel. When I really want to burn though I go to the 6.4. Its more effort and prob not good for the reel but I have not had any problems. |

| I already have a Saltist 30 for the big blades. I need advice on which gear ratio for the NaCL. I like to throw small grammas, topwater and burn #8 bucktails. Will the 5.4 be fast enough for burning or will high speed wear out throwing #8's. This would be my main all purpose reel. |
