Has anyone used one of these and if so how did it work. Did the rabbit strips get tangled or twisted on the hooks? It looks like a cool bait.

I haven't used them, but I fly fish a lot and I can almost guarantee that it ends up a big ball of bunny strips after each cast. A zonker fly fouls every few casts, but with the vortex that a double blade buck produces I can't see it staying untangled.

I have one and love it. Great action and zero issues.

I fly fish for 'teeth" and everything else too. You may already know this but if you make a horizontal thumbnail-size loop on top of the rear of your hook before tying on the tailing mat'l. it will greatly lessen tangles.

I use hard mono...but any stiff stuff will work.

I generally use guitar strings or fluoro. I have never been able to get bunny strips to behave no matter what I do as a cure all. I still use zonkers, fickle as they are because the action is top notch.

Great bait and TONS of movement from the rabbit strips. Haven't had any tangling issues. Just make sure you dry it good before putting it away as the rabbit strips hold a lot of water and will lead to a rusty mess otherwise.

I'd have to concur.
Used to make a few similar with zonk tails and while there were issues, never had tangling/hang up issues when it came to the tails.
