Posts: 397 Location: Wisconsin | Manitowish is much more enjoyable to fish than eagle river in my opinion, so will spend time there. hope both tournaments do really well though |

Posts: 351 Location: Vilas County, WI | I was hoping some chatter would take off about this series. I really hope it does well. These one day, WI based, tourneys make it easier for me to participate.

| I'm not as positive about the schedule dates as I'd like to be, but I still intend to fish a few of these to try to show support for a new attempt. I think the first event going head-to-head with the Spring Classic is bad for both and worse for the new WMC, but they must have had a reason. They also clash with the PMTT event on Big Vee in August and the Championship for both being on the same weekend. Still, nobody's perfect and I plan to try their second event on Big Saint, maybe Kentuck and Three Lakes too. Just a thought here, but the waters closed Friday before the Big Saint event, gives some folks a chance to pre-fish the Eagle chain for the PMTT Friday and Sunday. Those are my plans! |

| 10 teams made it out for the tourney. Hard to pull people away from spring classic but I know of quite a few guys that will be fishing the rest of them. Three lakes is already almost full. 5 fish caught up to 41 1/4 and 1st place team doubled. Lots of fish seen just couldn't get them to eat. My partner and I were lucky enough to boat a fish good enough for 3rd and get a spot in the championship. Great tournament series, alot of fun and I will for sure be fishing more of them. |

Posts: 279 Location: Central Wisconsin | I heard from someone who fished it that there were no fish caught. I believe they gave most of their money back due to no fish being registered. Only 7 boats were entered, not the participation I was expecting. I know they raised multiple fish, one monster, I figured the fishing would've been better with the weather they had. |

| A lot of the day was "hard" rain, and most of us know light rain is a whole lot nicer for fishing musky. I can't think of a fish I caught while is was raining moderate or harder. The field was small, but we had some pretty top-notch sticks in there too--even among the best. Giving back 2/3 of the entry to the anglers seemed very fair to me as well. I think it's pretty hard to start something from nothing, the WMC is trying, seem like nice folks to me, and I'm quite willing to fish a small event or two while it gets going. I also like closing the water on Friday before the event and it proved a valuable pre-fishing day for the PMTT this week just down the road. It's been a long slug since 2008 for musky tourneys to come back, and now it's coming back. It's just another way to participate for those who like the competitive aspect, and you get to know a lot of guys, and it can be a pretty good learning experience if you pay attention to what the consistent guys do better than you! |

Posts: 325 Location: Otsego, MN | I look forward to the rest of this tournament series! Planning on fishing the Kentuck and Championship for sure. If time allows I would consider the Three Lakes Chain and Namekegon as well.
Anyone on the fence or unsure of these events take my word for it that they are fun and Bob (person running this) is a fair and nice gentleman. He is willing to listen to any advice you have and is working extremely hard to get this series going and something to grow in years to come. |

| Three lakes tourney had 6 doubles. Very hot calm condition the big bite was tough. Smaller fish were the ticket |
