Looking for a bait cast reel for fishing Northern Pike, something thats good that won't break the bank. Prefer Abu Garcia

Using a baitcast rod 7' MH rod

revo NaCl 50 size would work well. could maybe even go down to some of the bass sized models with depending on how beefy the pike are in your area. In my area the bass sized reel is more than enough and a pleasure to fish all day and toss lighter baits a mile

For pike it largely depends on how big of lures you use. If you stay away from the very large muskie lures that pull hard you can get away with a 5000 or 6000 series ambassadeur which are relatively inexpensive, simple and reliable.

Lots of good reels out there. Read a bit more here. Right now you can buy the Daiwa Lexa 300 for $130 Not a bad deal and the reel will also easily fish lighter musky gear.
