Do any of you have splashguards on your Esox Magnum? If so what brand and do you like them? Thanks

Bassin,

Not really apologizing for anyone here, but I think the reason that there were not any replies, is that there are not alot of guys that run these on their low profile boats. I've seen alot of Esox Magums, and have yet to see one with them. I guess I could have suggested some of the mfg's, like WhiteCap and Wave Wackers. You will like the WhiteCaps.

Thanks for the reply, however I ordered some yesterday from Whitecap and he told me he could not make them for my boat. I e-mailed Esox Angler today to see what brand Pete has on his boat. I like to Walleye fish once in awhile and also I like to control my boat from the back when Musky fishing sometimes to. It works real well for me when the wind is really blowing.

Bassin-- if you could contact some of the guides in the Boulder Junction area, they could give you some good ideas. I don't have any names, but I spoke with a few guides up there at boat landings who had custom, homemade ones on their magnums. They were lower profile than the standard Wave Whacker style and looked to be just as effecient in knocking down the water. Good luck!

Thanks for your help. I think I have a lead on a guy up there who makes for Pete Mania.

I could really use some splash guards for my Lakeland 1690 Pro, it rides very low in the water and it doesn't take much in reverse to have a lot of water coming over the transom. If you find a someone in WI that makes them let me know.

I would bet that WhiteCap or Wave Wackers would be able to make the up for you. Custom fit. Seems to me, WhiteCap has a page on their website that shows how to measure them up. Check it out.

I have Wave Wackers on my Lund, and they fit and work great. Don't really use them for muskie fishing, so I had a storage bag with Velcro closures made for mine.

I called Walleye Masters in Minnesota and he is making a set for my boat. I gave him the measurements over the phone and he also had just finished a set for a Esox Magnum. They should be here next week, I'll let you know how they turned out.

There are a lot of the Esox and Esox Mags with splash gaurds. I installed a couple of the White Cap brand and they seem to work pretty well. If you want to order a set or more info, contact me at the areas new Tuffy dealer, Wild River Road & Trail in Trego. 800-369-1255 or 635-5299. Ask for Terry.
As for not many low profile Tuffy boats?, try to find a body of water anywhere in the Hayward area on any given day during muskie season and not see at least one!

I misread the bit about splashgaurds on low profile boats. Sorry if I sounded wrong. (?) There are several at least with splash gaurds. Sorry again.

My buddy (he did most of the work) and I installed the Walleye Masters splash guards yesterday. They do a great job of making some nice guards. Tried them out yesterday afternoon and they keep the water out real nice when back trolling for Walleyes. They will also work well when I want to fish from the rear of my boat and using the rear trolling motor for boat control for Muskies.
