| well im going to be getting my tax money back soon and im going to be getting some new electronics for my rig to set it up know im in the debate of do I wana go lowrance or humming bird what are your thoughts what are the pros and cons of both and have you had any issues also how is their customer service if you have had to deal with them thanks guys any feed back or impute would be awesome

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | There really are no 'pros and cons'. It's personal preference, for the most part, pretty much Ford VS Chevy. I use 'Bird, on the soft water and the ice, and really like them. I used Lowrance for years, and really liked them, too. Price and ease of use for advanced features sold me on the new 'Birds. Lowrance builds top shelf units as well. |

| I don't have the universal sonar in my powerdrive so don't have to worry their im mainly concerned is customer service since im going to start guiding and if I have issues I wana get it taken care of asap

| I would purchase what I can get the best deal on. Three years ago when I purchased my units the birds were the best value of features and size. |

| I definitely want something with a 7 inch screen like the elite 7 by lowrance so if im casting from the back of the boat from the rear casting deck I can clearly see my graph |

| If you are going to start guiding and electronics are 100% necessary for you to do your job, I would recommend having a redunant system or at least a backup gps/sonar. I know several guides, some full time/only source of income and they get the same support from Low/HB as everyone else. (note I said guides, not endorsed professionals... they probably get better support) |

Location: Western PA | Just had the ONIX 10" non touch screen model priced out very nice in comparison to the others i was looking at. Will probably run that this year. |
