| Hey everyone
Just cruising through craigslist in my area looking for fishing gear-like ive been doing all winter, and noticed a good deal on some lures im not too familiar with. Bucher shallow raiders, the big 9" ones buddy has look just like a Jake and I'm wondering if they run like them, I've enjoyed casting my 7.5 inch grandma so something like that would be nice. I think the massive baits might be overkill in my area.
The little skinnier ones (7") look closer to depth raiders (which im a fan of). Ive searched the web and I couldnt find any videos of them swimming close up, trying to figure out the action before I buy a handful. Most importantly if anyone knows the running depth of casting vs trolling off hand that would be awesome, trying to get some variance in my tacklebox.
TLDR: How do you feel about shallow raiders and how do they compare with depth raiders / grandmas |

| Oh also while I'm at it, does anyone have any experience with bluefox twin turbo double 10s? There on sale at overstock baits for $5.50. Have a double 13 for trolling and a plethora of musky killers for pike, need some 10s from what i understand. |

| I don't know anything about shallow raiders, but I do have a bunch of the Blue Fox Twin Turbos. I like them. At that price, it can't hurt. I throw and troll the 10's. Besides, #10 blades alone cost around $4 |

| They are good casted and trolling. A good durable bait that will work and last you a long time. They are worth it. |

Location: Lake "y" cause lake"x" got over fished | trust me no bait is "too big" or "overkill" for these fish. I have caught large fish on 3 inch rattle raps and tiny 20" dink fish on pounders. If 20" dink will eat a 16" bulldawg, anything larger will pretty much eat anything larger.... don't underestimate these fish.
that said, Where are you fishing?
Shallow raiders, cant really be compared to depth raiders, due to the key words "shallow" and "depth" depth raiders are more of a trolling/just straight retrieve bait. At elast for me. Shallow raiders are great for twitching, dead sticking, jerking, slow to fast and all of the above. nice versatile bait.
As far as the twin turbos. IMHO there are tons of better options out there for blades. Not that I think twin turbos are bad, I just think there are better options |
