| I saw there is a Musky show next week right here in Western PA (apparently, they had this show last year as well). I usually travel to the Ohio show, but this year I just couldn't make the 3 hour one-way trek. Has anyone been to the one last year? There appears to be some great looking vendors (at least from what the website says). I am hoping it's a good one.

Location: Pittsburgh, PA | I went last year and was very impressed, but to be fair i've only been to the Western PA shows, haven't made it to Ohio or the others yet.
I'll be there Saturday with my two boys. |

| I just returned from the Muskie Max Show. Very nice show. Not as big as the Ohio show (at least compared to last years Ohio show as I couldn't go this year). What I liked was every booth was worth a visit. I went with a $200 budget and I blew that quick and was well into the credit card. I even booked a guided trip, which I wasn't expecting to do, but I couldn't resist (I'm dying to get a musky on the fly). Plus, the John Anderson presentation was great (I can't comment on the other speakers as John's was the only one I attended). Well worth the visit and I hope they have it next year.

Location: South-Central PA | I just walked in the door from the show. The Muskie Max appears to be very well run and organized. It's a small show, but given the quality, it's only going to grow. It's nice and relaxing for me to be able to go as an attendee, not a vendor. I enjoyed talking with Tony Grant (dropped off another batch of PA deer balogna for him), Vince at Migizi rods, Mark Nicholas, Zach Baker, and many others. I think the thing I enjoy about the show is all of the local bait builders that attend only this show.
I attached a picture of my take. I couldn't come home empty handed!

Jeremy,
Great point on the local bait makers. Leo Lures, Legend, Wiley, Baker, Fat AZ to name a few were there. All great displays (even though I heard Zach Baker sold out all his baits in 3 hours).
Here was my take...

I think he was asking about the middle lure in Jeremy's photo (which I am curious about as well as I don't remember seeing that one there).

Location: South-Central PA | It's a Mr Toothy! An un-weighted, shallow diving model.
He took Zack Baker's booth after Zack sold out.

| It was very nice to meet the many faces behind the names and see good friends! I got a very warm reception and am very appreciative/lucky to have the interest. Hoping everyone got home safe and am looking forward to a good 2015!
bty- Mr Toothy makes some killer baits that are hard to come by. Not only is Mr Toothy a friend but also a very talented artist, Jeremy- I am sure you will enjoy his bait very much. I personally stocked up on some Wileys, Leo's and Raptors. Best wishes and good fishing- Zach Baker
