| I make my own but if I buy any I will either get them from Gerry Carroll (Gerry's girls) or from JH Baits. |

| Big fan of the spankys. With that said, I try to match the bait to how deep I want to run. Dadson and Spankys are heavier and seem to run deeper. Double cowgirls seem to ride higher which I like for those shallower applications. |

Hair & Flashabou combo and they have that hard to find "halo" around them in the water. Nothing like their Indiana dbl 9's and their spinnerbaits are killer too.
Still hand made and they take custom orders ta boot.

| Hi Brett
I like the Gerry's girls and Spanky's. My two most productive Gerry's Girls have 10 and 8 fish respectively. While they are both looking pretty poor these days, they still catch fish. I will fish them until the blades fall off. (one is close) I have others that were destroyed after 3 fish, but that doesn't necessarily speak to quality. Cut the wire, save the components, tie a new one, and go on about your life.
That said, and without naming names, I've had some that literally fell apart after a day casting, or after one small fish. That is crappy construction. When the skirt is gone by 2:00 and you haven't seen a fish? Yeah. POS. First of that same lure lasts a season, and the replacement is gone on a day? Uhh... Who the hell is tying these things?

Location: oswego, il | I don't believe there are any bad ones. Depends some on how you fish. Some run deeper.than others for example. For instance my vibrax run deeper than my cowgirls. Both work great.and catch fish. The vibrax is hinged and because of that will "flinch" when the skirt sucks up into the blades. Does not hurt to have more than one brand of bucktail. Nobody makes a bad one. |

| I really like Spanky Baits and Gerrys. Spanky Baits stay deeper, and have a different feel they are also indestructible. Gerry's are the high flyers that have tons of displacement. Also with Gerry's, you can't beat the price or find a nicer guy to work with. |

Location: minocqua, wi. | best one is whichever one got tangled and twisted and hard to straighten back out. if you don't have one then tangle and twist one of your own, straighten it out but hopefully it will never come back to quite perfect. then you have a good one. |

| Like a lot of questions the answer can be it depends. I like DCG 10's for shallow horizontal presentations above the weeds. I like Dadson 10s for casting into the wind and deeper presentations. While they aren't Double 10's, I have really liked Mancave's weedless Double 9 with a plastic tail on a single hook that has worked great for weeds. Finally I see a number of options where they are making bucktails with different size blades 10/11 or 10/9 that I look forward trying. |

Location: Chisholm, MN | I throw Bigtooth Tackle JUICE bucktails now. I went to mostly marabou instead of flashabou just to be different. As far as flashabou bucktails, cowgirls are still my favorite. |

Likely wants to smell it for signs of exhaust to determine if it was trolled. |

Anybody have any ideas on what the 3rd best double ten would be like on the 5th best double ten rod?
I know the answer to this one exactly.
I am not smart enough to purchase the best double ten. That is why I have the 3rd best.
The best double ten rod that I can afford happened to be #5 on the list as well.
I will not give this information away for free though. Got anything you want to trade me? I like double tens and rods..... |
