Whats the benefit of the thicker lip? More wobble? Strength? I kinda like it

I've found that you don't get any more wobble from a 3/8" lip compared to a 1/4" lip. Sometimes it just looks good though, so I mainly use 3/8" Lexan for extra strength and looks. |

The camera I use is just an little Coolpix L20 that I've had for years, and I just take the pictures over a florescent tube shop light. I think I've gotten really good at holding still when I take the pictures so they're nice and crisp though.
