It's -38* outside right now, which can mean only one thing for me, time to start planning the mid-late June musky trip. Starting to take an interest in the Presque Isle, WI area, in particular, Big, Crab, and Oxbow. If anyone would like to chime in with any info it would be greatly appreciated. Please feel free to pm also. Thanks in advance.

I have a very soft spot in my heart for Horsehead - across the street from Oxbow. Great numbers fishery, habitat, and just about every section and pocket on this lake is a likely musky spot. Few lakes are built like it.

Ask Pete Stoltman about them. He may inform how big.

There's a dozen awesome lakes to fish within 10 minutes of Presque Isle. It is common for me to fish 2 or 3 a day.

Crab musky get long but run skinny.... Like OscarTfish said, lots of lakes in the area and they have awesome fish. Manitowish chain is one of my favorites
