The thread about the best gliders got me thinking about the hot tails. I've seen plenty of fish pics with them, but I am just curious about how they perform when compared to others. I fish Hellhounds and Reef Hawgs mostly for gliders. I've fished a few others, but those are my go to.

I would compare it closely to a hellhound except I felt like the hot tail ran deeper with a nice fall on the pause.

Flying fish they have a side to side action with some up and down movement and wobble on the fall can be worked fast or slow deep or shallow

Hands down the best glider I have ever used. 90% of my winter strikes happen boatside on the pause. Instead of a figure 8 you almost have to jig them. The wobble on the pause converts followers to eaters.

I wouldn't compare it to a hellhound in anyway except ease to work. The hot tail glides with ease and gets down a lot deeper then most glide baits. Great wobble on the drop, built like a tank also.
