| To add insult to injury, the CANDY ARSE fRENCH has committed the ultimate heresy--spray painting the graves of some American soldiers that fought, bled, and died to protect them; not once, but 3 times...WW1, WW2, and Nam. Now they demand a major part in rebuilding Iraq, although they fought us every step of the way in our efforts. Add to the fact that they continued to sell goods/parts that were against International Law, and their status in respect sinks even lower. I can understand the Germany/Russia aspect somewhat, but the snail suckers have hit an all time low. I RARELY get whizzed, but this report has really done it. Apparently the non purchase of french goods/services is having an effect; if you choose not to buy their stuff, be careful it doesn't affect American workers in the process. I will never understand their ungratefulness, and the gall they have to spit on those who gave them a better way of life. | |

We don't have any Grey Puke-on here anyhows, so no probs. there. Plenty of Frenches though, we use that instead of ketchup for waffle fries etc...

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | France isn't on my list of vacation spots anyway, but for sure I won't be spending any dollars on anything French for a very long time. Let's not confuse the rhetoric from the extreme left there, including the government, with all French speaking folks, though. I know several French Canadiens who are not very happy with the stand the French have taken either. Speaking the language doesn't make one French. Then there are Somalies, who actually fought along with the FS and the RG for our old buddy, Saddam. Who would have EVER thought there would be irregulars from Somalia there? People are weird. GOOD NEWS IS!!! Seven US POWs were found safe and in pretty good shape today. That one was really bothering me. I am pleased that whomever was holding them let the go, one couldn't tell WHAT those folks would do. Must have been in Iraqi hands, because if they were held by the imported FS they would have been much tougher to find, I fear.

| Reading the paper this morning, a French leader was asked if he was concerned about America boycotting French products. His response?
"We're not worried. Americans cannot resist french wines."
I suggest every Frenchperson who agrees to take a bottle of french wine and shove them straight up each of their bung-holios.

| Good point Stever, no probs distinguishing the french from the Canadians! The actual country/peeps of france are easy to see...
Gooder one Ranger! Lolx100! Hopefully our Gov't can't resist the idea of removing deceased American soldiers from french soil and returning them to their proper resting place. Another reason not to vacation there; imagine the sick feeling you would have at the thought of passing away in that country...I'll die ANYWHERE but there...Viva La FREAK....

Location: Belgium | I just hope you guys won't be too short-sighted when it comes to these kinds of things. Not everybody agrees with what the government says or does so to treat everybody the same way is plain dumb and unfair! What's the use of not buying French products? Who do you hurt with that? The normal people who have to work hard for their pay, not the French government. Think about it!
Great news about the POW's being rescued!!

| Short sighted or not, I will NEVER buy anything made in France. The French government didn't desecrate the crosses of dead Americans, French people did. And the French were liberated by The Americans just as the Iraquis were. Add them to the list of the other friends of ours who stood by our sides, and remember them when they need help by pulling down your pants.
Nobody likes war, that goes without saying. But realize who your allies are and treat them like they are.
If you are not my friend, you are my enemy.
Let me take my 7MM 08 and some custom loads over to France, and Jock Sherock will turn into Jock Surelooksfunny.
My dad was at Normandy watching his buddies getting killed and mutilated so that the French could be liberated. If this is how they show their gratitude, I won't be doing anything to help any one of them.
Do you know what to throw a drowning Frenchman? Sure. Rock!
French wine? I joined AA 13 years ago in anticipation of this very day.
One thing about us Americans.....we have great memories. This whole thing is going to come around and bite some countries right in their butts when they need us.
No offense Dirk, but right about now I have very little use for many countries. And it will take alot to change my mind.
Ask the families of any servicemen and women killed in Iraq or Kuwait or Afghanistan or any other country what they think of the nutless countries that stand against us now what they think.....then be ready to duck!
WE are always the ones fighting for the good of other countries. Liberating countries opressed by insane leaders. Never conquering, only helping people to get their lives back from the people in power.
GOD bless America and all who serve her.

Location: Edina, MN | I'm done with the French. Even caught myself looking at Mepps packages (French blades you know) to see where they are produced and found that the pkg says WI. My dad dumped all of his Perrier water and has also boycotted all French products.
Its got to be having an effect. A couple weeks ago I saw round trip airfare to Paris for less than $250 from Mpls and they still could not move the tickets. Local hotel owned by the French has removed their French flag and is clearly having trouble.
Hey if they want to be independent rebels, let em have at it. I, and it appears many other Americans, will simply chose not to support them.
For now we don't even have French kissing at our house.

| If it is the french goverment and not the people that feel that way then the french people better start speaking up and say something to there gov. | |

| Dirk, like Beav and the others have said, don't take offense, there is no short sightedness here, just a wake up call for us, and all who are sick of bailing peeps out only to have them spit back in our face because they worship the almighty Euro dollar. The french gov't has placed greed/lies/underhandedness above gratitude and pride, and it will prove to be their undoing I hope. Their leader was elected to prevent a french communist party candidate from being elected, and they have a large Muslim population; nothing wrong w/ that, but it very obvious that they fear retribution from groups that have threatened them if they join us, displaying a cowardice that this country will not stand for. We will not be blackmailed by threats from groups whose sole purpose is to kill/maim others that won't bend to their ways, and the heresy is that they claim to do it in Gods' name. NO...this is it; I hope and pray that we will have learned from this, and that we will stand up in the face of those who seek to ruin the lives of others from here on out. You'd have to live here in this country, as screwed up as it seems to be at times, to fully understand what we mean. As a nation we desire peace first and foremost, but the time has come for us and those willing to do what is right in the world. Like Cable said, if the peeps, who vote and elect their leaders, don't feel the way the gov't does, then they had better speak out; they sure don't mind bashing us for doing what's right. I couldn't be prouder of those who are fighting now, and daily struggle w/ the fact that I'm over here doing what I please, while they are in danger every moment. But you know, that's the way they would want it; they volunteered to serve, and serving they are-- a big heaping helping of kick-bu++ to those that have no value of life, and whose leaders evaporate when the stuff hits the fan, and desert them to fend for themselves; if anyone questions our resolve, they need look no further than a 19 yr. old girl, a supply clerk, who in the face of sure danger, emptied her M 16 of rounds before she herself was wounded and captured. She has more gut than the entire french gov't, and probably most of the country. I bet I haven't been truely whizzed off 5 times in my life, but for sure am now... | |

Location: Iowa | BRAVO! Very well said guys!! I too have been paying more attention to the products I purchase, so as not to support the French(government or population that desecrates American graves)! We're not perfect, but we know when to stand up for ourselves, what is right, and support our allies! I too think we need to return our soldiers home who fought and died over there and get them out of that tainted land! Oh yeah, French wine or AMERICAN BEER?? Don't reckon that's a very tough choice for most of us.

| NOW the French, Russians and Germans want to get involved.
I say fine. Bring everybody and everything home now.
Leave Iraq the way it is and send all of those nutless wonders in there and let them see what they can do. We did the hard part, now send in the do-gooders and let's see 'em mop up. Pass a resolution in the UN placing the rest of the job on the shoulders of all of the nations that chose not to participate. Send most of Hollywood along with them. Send Martin Sheen and Sean Penn over to stop the looting. They were opposed to war, but being from California, they should be used to rioting.
I'll bet you all of my Hughes Rivers that they'd be crying for help in a day and they'd be blaming every bad thing that happens on us.
After all, now there are world wide demonstrations because the people of Iraq are going nuts and looting and they don't have power and water. They're right, I'd much rather have a lunatic and his mob squad running the country and subjecting his people to atrocities than to be inconvenienced for a while. We bring in tons of food. Run water lines from other countries.
Let's face it guys, no matter what we do, the only people in the world that are gonna love us and back us up IS US.
Let's start looking out for numero uno and worry about us. Seems that we'll never live up to the worlds expectations.
Let's just stay here and take care of ourselves. It shouldn't take long for the entire middle east to self destruct. Let it happen. The hell with being peace keepers for people who kill eachother in GODS name.

| Just saw a video clip of people in Iraq returning the goods that they looted. Perhaps the world will change when these people can get over their fear. They don't know how to react. Freedom is something foreign to them.
Talked to my dad about the French thing yesterday. Though he's 82 and has had a stroke, he says that we should make our next mission to go over there and dig up all the fallen troops from WWII and bring them back here where they belong. He said while we're at it, we should send back the statue of liberty and tell them that we only accept gifts from friends.
