In early September, expect it to still be a casting bite. Blades and rubber are excellent, as well as Jerkbaits and top water early and late in the day. Depending on your experience you should be able to boat a fish a day and see 15-20. It of corse can be worse but it can also be better. Justin is a great host and will help you out a lot. Only 9 more months.

Great choice. Have fun, go slow, be careful of rocks.

I go every year in July and this year i also went in Sept. Fishing was better in Sept. Same spots same lures. Don't worry about slowing down...when the fish get active they don't care. It's all about hitting the windows and when it opens you'll know. Rock piles and complex rock points. I had 8 follows, caught 3 and lost 2 in a 3 hour window one evening. And hardly saw another boat the entire day. Best time of year to go.

I think the go slow comment was in regards to the well-being of his boat/motor, not the fish
