For lighter stuff I am also a big fan of Cortland Camo.

| Trilene big game is my favorite in 20 to 30 pd test low vis green. I fish rocky rivers here in Pa. and it is the most abrasion resistant that I've tried.Just my opinion.

| A strength/stress/abrasion test awhile back showed the basic Stren Blue to be the best overall; I can't remember the exact results, but do remember this being said in the article. I use Stren Magna Thin in 30lb. test, and some of the peeps at Cave Run use P-Line, but not sure what lb. test. I also use the Trilene Big Game in 30lb. Would be interesting to see some test results; wish I'd kept the article now. |

Location: Pewaukee, Wisconsin | I used the P-line premium in 15 pound test, this line held up very good. After every bush, fish, stump or any other thing I gould get my line into at the Cave I checked the line and never did I have a nick or bad spot in it. This line was unbelievable, I cut and retied lots of times but never due to a abrasion, just out of habit. I like this line and will run it this year, the only thing I wonder about is the color. Its flourocarbon coated and seems so be bright line, like its under a black light. Could be great for night trolling. Time will tell. |

Location: God's Country......USA..... Western Wisconsin | P line XXX in the 20# and 15# has worked great for me. This is in any situation that I use mono for with Muskies and of course with the Bass as well. |

Location: NeverNever Lake | I use Seagar Fluorocarbon 40# on my jerkbait rod. This is the toughest line I have ever used. After throwing a Mag Dawg for 8 hrs straight it had some surface abrasions on it. I tied my leader off to a cleat and I couldn't break it. Girlfriend swears by SilverThread, however, It's not mono, but a co-filament line.
Sometimes a little stretch is a good thing! |

| I use Berkley Big Game Mono in the 25 and 50 pound test range, for casting, trolling and huge sucker, late fall musky fishing.
I have bulk, 2000 yard spools that I store below ground in a year round 50 degree temperature room.
And, I change the backing each year with this stuff and haven't had one line failure in over 7 years of fishing this line from the very same spools.
I use the Joe Bucher Power Knot to compliment this line. |

I use Stren exclusively for every application but Musky fishing. Before I switched to superline, I used Maxima 40lb for casting and trolling, and really loved the stuff. Too bad it is made in Germany. |

Location: Davenport, IA | I really like 25 lb and 40 lb trilene big game for trolling. I really like spiderline mono for bass fishing, and may try some 20 lb for trolling too, it is pretty tough stuff. |

Location: oswego, il | For casting, I like stren magnathin 20-40lb test. For trolling i like stren 20lb flourocarbon and am trying p-line fourocarbon as well. I like the abrasion resistance of the flourocarbon. |
