After a full summer of extensive testing and field trials, I'm very excited to introduce to you the full Scatter Hammer line! I initially started this venture to create a lure more conducive to shallow water trolling and casting alike by using the smaller 4.5" Lil' Hammer body style. To my pleasant surprise the lip angles and styles, as long as kept to scale, worked on ALL of the bait models and sizes. The lures are shallow running baits....when trolled, you can let out roughly 35 to 40 feet of line and the lure will stay in the upper 8' of the water column with rod tip in the water. There is far less drag while reeling in on the cast, making them great to twitch, jerk or straight retrieve....A perfect bait for kids or novice casters as well because the zig-zag and kicking action happens on a straight crank retrieve by itself. If you like to throw lighter baits, the 4.5, 5.5 and 6 inch are preferred. If you want a big, beefy, large profile bait; the Bero line is it, but you better have a beefy rod to throw it with!  All these are perfect for fishing over weeds or against weed edges...

Enjoy!

You will be more then satisfied with your baits. Paul does exceptional work and his baits are top shelf! My next baits from him will be the 4.5" Scatter Hammers.

Yes, they are available to order...turn around time is 1 to 2 months and a month or less in the winter time. I do this pretty much by myself with the exception of bodies poured by a friend.

Andy, yours should be ready in the few weeks to come...I've been SO busy juggling my real work, fishing, family, health issues (resolved), and lure making! YIKES!

Gerry...thank you sir!

No worries Paul. I've been absolutely swamped and also. It's good to have business but There is a fine line. Do they troll well at slower speeds like 2.3-2.8mph?

Yes Andy, I just don't sweat it and tell people up front, its really beyond our control and we do the best we can! They will troll very well at slower speeds...The 5.5" which you ordered have a bit of a slower side to side than the smaller 4.5"
