Posts: 390 | So this happened the other day. Just wanted to give a shootout to one of the best boat companies out there. After we got the boat back on the trailer and inspected the hull we continued to the launch and went fishing. After a 3 hours on the lake (bay of GB in 2 footers) we were delighted to find the hull completely dry, not a single leak. Not to mention my PB tiger! Thank you LUND! Posts: 390 | Stopped at a T intersection and was going to turn left, there was a car turning right so I turned and behind the car a large truck tried to go around the turning car into my lane (no passing zone too) as I turned, so I had to floor it into the ditch. Apparently the bumpy ditch at 15mph was enough force to snap the safety chain and as I accelerated back on the road it simply rolled off. We were fortunate enough that the second guy that stopped had a fork lift in a barn 1/2 mile down the road. Not sure how we would have managed without his help. Posts: 390 | Well not exactly... one of the straps locked up the day before so only had one on and I assume the other unhooked as the boat bounced, it was just hanging off the trailer after. I Thought it would be ok as it is only 5 miles from the launch to the shed. I Learned my lesson the hard way. Edited by bbeaupre 10/23/2014 9:39 PM | ||
