Spent a couple partial days on Leech over the weekend with nothing to show for it. Launched at Kabekona and looped down through Walker, Agency, Traders, Grand View and back. Hit quite a few different spots with nothing to show for it. Rock Points, Reeds, Pockets...about only thing I didn't fish was cabbage and had a difficult time finding any.

Was moving and catching fish on other lakes in the area (in cabbage). Maybe should have stayed there but got persuaded to run over to Leech.

Not sure if I was missing something or fish just really off.

Will maybe be going back in a couple weeks and would like to be a little better prepared. Would like to launch at Kabekona and work from there as it is closest launch point for us.

Not every outing is going to be a great one on Leech...heck, that's Muskie fishing. If you know of a stocked lake that is peaking, you might move more fish there.

Things were good a few weeks back and then the wind decided to switch about four days in a row. When the wind blows the same direction a few days in a row, fish seem to set up in more predictable locations. When I'm not moving fish on classic shallow spots, I like to troll the 10'-15' stuff. If they are not here or there then they must be in between.

We had a bad outing last weekend. Thursday night was great. we showed up, caught 1 lost 2 with a couple of follows in 2.5hrs. All fish came on ultra shallow rocks. Then it got tough.... I think we saw 4 fish total for all of Friday and Saturday morning. Switched to drinking... that saved the weekend

If I was fishing now, I would fish 2 shallow rock spots for every 1 deep rock spot. weeds... maybe some reeds in sucker. I did not try that... that wind kept me in walker bay.

Just got back from a Friday-Sunday trip. Nothing. Saw nothing. Hit weeds and then rocks. Went to Wabedo and the guys filming for the Next Bite guys said they saw 5 in an afternoon there. I think the Next Bite guys got blown off Leech to Wabedo- we saw their boat Leech in the morning then Wab later on. We left for home Monday on the most beautiful day- sunny, calm and 73- figures.

Like a NWest wind drop the trolling motor @ Cedar and fish south? Casting Shallow (to shore?) and trolling breaks type of thing? Is that mostly rock or is there weed sections that should be looked for?

Any bait preferences? I would imagine perchy stuff shallow and whitefishy stuff deeper?
