I rebuilt my 1998 warrior and on the 4 trip out a storm moved in and I put it on the trailer and hid my truck under trees in the ditch from the hail. however the boat was absolutely filled with rain took a few days to dry, chargers were submersed everything, all my reels I had just cleaned. but poo happens good to know she still floats

I'd cut a small gate/door in the port side then simply lead a following muskie in and close door behind her. Save all that ugly hooking all together! Could be the new ethic in C&R fishing!

That's a really big livewell you have there, Ranger!

Get rid of the 2 horns on the front - good for snagging the net...

Steering looks ackward - trade the Mariner for a tiller, and get rid of the console.

Save your peso's and upgrade the TM to bow mount cable steer.

Save more peso's and add a HB side imaging unit......

Put in hot tub circulating pumps, nossles & heater and you've got the perfect floating hot tub! Maybe add a little mood lighting too..... to attract the beeeeeches.

#1 Suggestion: Given your other post, I think "Musky Slut" would be an appropriate name.

Have fun!

Al

Automatic bilge, Had a similar problem on LOTW one year, flood shorted out the charger. First thing I did when I go home was to install the auto bilge.

It's one of those low rider boats, just gun it with the outboard and everything should be good

They say a good musky platform is one that gets you close to the water. I'd say you've got that covered.
My first suggestion would be to invest in a drain plug.
Oh and I believe the battery should be IN the boat and hooked up to something, like maybe your bilge pump.
If all else fails, Cabela's has a pretty good deal going on waders.
I'd pick up some crampons for when the weather gets cold. Might be slippery in there after a few cold nights.

Pull the plug & let her sink. Would make a good fish crib.

Insert Drain plug before launching?

I have also added an automatic float switch on my bilge pump as mine did not come with one either. Definitely is very nice to have when those really heavy rains that last a while blow in.

The other things, I bet will be fine..once out, dried out, I don't think there should be too much for issue as the boat is built for wet environments... Best thing I can think of would be to check any fuse holders that were submerged, possible replace those fuses, and really work to get those areas dry..

On the plus side, you won't need a 9' rod to figure eight!

Might need some more hp to get her up on plane, but i really like that new real feel temp gauge. Plus side is you have a great place to keep your suckers alive in the newly built in sucker tank.

Remove the steering wheel… that spot makes a fine casting deck.

Before you get rid of the ballast make sure you comply with the new regulations.......don't want anymore invassive species in the lake.

- Remove that console, sell the motor, and put on a 70hp tiller. you will have way more casting room.
- Maybe build yourself a casting deck on the front, being elevated is always one of my biggest preferences.
- Automatic Bilge pump would be really spiffy.
- Get a front mounted trolling motor to go with that new casting deck, and add a depth finder up there with GPS plotting options, and one of your Depth Finders should have side imaging or multi beam technology for really keying onto structure.
- A rod locker on one side of the boat could be a really nice feature.
- Rod holders for trolling (if you are a trolling guy)
- Consider replacing carpeting with something that doesn't catch hooks.
- An aerator and you have the largest sucker tank on the lake.
- A bail bucket or five.

Good luck, would love to see some after pictures :D

Ranger, if this boat isn't to your liking, I found you a new and improved, bigger boat that you may find more enjoyable.
