Posts: 141 | Hey Everyone, I made this little video to start a new series devoted to bait making. The videos to come may shed some light on different techniques used in bait making, or they might be helpful for guys just starting out. Hope you enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FnmVYJbkKe8

Posts: 345 Location: Poynette WI. | Thanks for sharing, always neat to see lures from start to finish. Yes it does give a little perspective on the amount of time and detail that goes into making a lure. I was considering making a video last night while building a bucktail but thought it would be to long of a video lol.

Posts: 360 | Nice video. Could you do a video on how u make the mold in the PVC pipe. That's a very good idea.

Posts: 141 | I finished Part 2 last night! Here's the link ---> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jEf_fhYCbgk Landonfish - This video is more about carving a wood bait, so I'll have to come back on the PVC pipe mold, but that will be a good trick to share for sure. It took quite a while so far for all the scale carving on this bait, and I'm not even half way done! The next video will have to be a continued version on the making of this "Bazerk". Should be a very cool bait. It will have an offset spinner, a single door hinge joint, and a soft twister tail.

I suggest to anyone hand carving to get one of these and save a butt load of time. Its an air powered turbine and spins a 7000 revolutions a second or 400k rpm.. They are often used by folks carving up very detailed scenes on gun stocks and such. I will use a foredom power carver to hog most of the wood away but the pictured turbine is when you get to the super detailed stuff. Great vids! thanks. Posts: 141 | I saw a video on that bad boy a while ago and reeeeally wanted one. Hopefully when funds loosen up I'll be able to get one of SCMs 400 XS models! I've done some carving outside of making lures too, and one of those would have come in handy.
