We start this Saturday - here is the link. http://muskie.outdoorsfirst.com/board/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=90...

Page 2 shows everything that is going on - fabulous time. I think they may be a "couple" spots left - it sounds like we should have quite a few people this year.

Don, He's asking about the Fall outing.
Doc, there is going to be one ..I'm sure... If there is a Good Time to be had, this outing is the one,... What a blast. Way funner than the Summer outing.

Mike and I are in. We're headed up to leech in a couple of weeks to flake the rust out of his reels. Let's hope he still remembers how to cast. Jerome... wasn't he the guy who ran around the fire with mile marker 68 and 70?

Hope you don't mind a couple new guys crashing your party. My son Colin and I are in. I've yet to catch my first so maybe this will be a big weekend. The kid... ok he's 35, has been catching them for years. I'll get a map to mark and try to soak up much wisdom. If that doesn't work, I can always sit by the fire and sip an adult beverage.

Another Iowa crew... Well, you'll make a lot of friends very fast if you bring a case of Templeton Rye. I know I can be bought.

Top H20 - no complaints here. Weather making it a lil tough, There showing themselves, however turning off on the 8 most of the time. Lost a fish yesterday. And got this 49.5 today in the Nasty Wind, Rain, Giant White Caps. Not to mention it actually snowed a lil bit today as well....And being that I am on my honeymoon up here, Im only fishing half as much as I normally would if I were up here to really get on em.

JBO nice fish.

We got 2nd place in a small tournament at Clear Lake last Sunday when Colin caught a 46. It was the biggest fish caught but the first place team had 2. I have been netting them for him all summer but still haven't caught my first.

With that in mind I'm going to have a little contest. I will bring an extra bottle of Templeton Rye which will go to whoever marked my map for the spot I catch my first fish. If I head back to Iowa without a fish, the bottle goes with me to ease the pain.

We will be stopping at Thorne Brothers on the way up so lure suggestions are appreciated.

See you next week
