Hey all,

I'm trying to book a trip for LSC from July 20th-24th. Does anyone have any rental suggestions? I'm looking for a waterfront place that I can dock the boat. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance,

Lenny

Anything that could be obtained on the waterfront would be a private rental home. I have seen a few for rent. Yeah, too bad there are no resorts, they would do very well. I stay off water at the bay Mont, red roof(us side) or la petite dragon on the Canada side. La petite is small so if you go there book early it fills up fast.

Just found/booked a place on harsens island. Suggestions on patterns/locations in general or what to look for? This will be my first trip to LSC and I couldn't swing the additional $$ for a guide this trip. Any help would be appreciated. Feel free to pm me if you prefer. Thanks,

Lenny

DON'T STAY AT THE BAYMONT. You can hear a pin drop because the walls are so thin, and the local thugs like to rent rooms there. Gee , wonder why? I've stayed there on several occasions, and the last time was the worst, last July. I'm going to stay at Best Western this year and hopefully it's a little better. Otherwise, i'm sleeping in the car.

Never had a problem at the bay Mont but I see people renting rooms for partying at every motel I stay at in and around a city. I can say dont stay at the one across from the red roof, had people try to come in my room last month when I went out for world of wheels. Room was nasty too.

Todd is correct, all the hotels in and around the city are full of partiers on the weekends. If you go on weekdays its not AS bad.I went outside to smoke at the Baymont and another very nice hotel and there were CRACK pipes laying in the ashtray !!!!Thats why I recommended Anglers Point, we felt much safer there and we could leave or boats in the water.

Just a heads up......not that there aren't any fish around harsens, but that's a long run from what I would consider "prime" July areas. Especially if u get any wind.....Anglers point is a little better, but still anywhere from a 10 to 20 mile run to the spots you want to be in July. If there's any real south or west wind, you'll never make it out of the bay. You need to mobile out there so you can launch accordingly to where you want to fish and wind conditions. I would lose the "on the water" plan, and consider one of the known spots on the S/W potion of the lake, or look for a place on the water in Canada.

Canada. try petite dragon belle river
green acres down the rd 1/2 mile. or you can dock your boat at belle river marina. run time to fish is 2 miles opposed to running across the lake. canadien waters are where its at that timeframe.
