this thread has been up two hours and no global warming poo poo post? We had snow on the ground in Fib land this week. About 1.5" by me. Water levels should be good this year.

Our school just kicked the kids out early due to bad roads. At least they got in a half day so they don't need to make it up. They have already had to loose one day of Easter vacation and have an extra day added at the end of the year.

And they say we have global warming...

The Hayward forecast has been 6-10 today and 4-6 tonight. It's been snowing since around 8:00 or so this morning but luckily the flakes have been pretty small. It looks like we maybe have a couple inches. so far. I think the ground might have been warm enough that some of it has melted rather than accumulated, but if it snows till 10:00 tomorrow morning like they say, I'll have had my fill.

I do believe in April this is supposed to be the WARM RAIN that melts the ice off lakes? Oh well.

It even snowed her in TN, for several hours on Tuesday. Didn't amount to much tho, as there wasn't the usual run on milk, bread and eggs..

I just got back last week from Puerto Rico where it was 80-90 degrees every day and the fishing was incredible. After battling Tarpon, Jacks and Barracuda in the surf, somehow the frozen lakes, snow and the freshwater species here just don't seem that interesting any more. We can talk about 60 lb Muskies with little chance of ever seeing one, but one can actually fish for and catch Tarpon 100 lbs or more. Its actually no big deal to get several 60-80 lb Tarpon on in a day and the way those fish jump and fight is such a rush.

Days like today make for a good reality check. 5 inches of snow at my house in the NW suburbs. Guess I can still dream about the ocean anyway.

4 inches here this week in NW. PA. The Bears have been out of hibernation. Wednesday night before dark on the way home I spotted one in an open field. I guess they think spring has arrived.

Our total Wednesday was 13 1/2 inches, making our total for the year (so far) 108 inches! Supposed to be 60 over the weekend, so we'll see if that gets rid of it or just causes it to snow again...
