Posts: 1080 Location: Aurora | Another dbl 10 for a friend. Zonker body & legs with a hidden spinner above the trailer hook. A clear disc above the spinner protects the legs from getting wound up in the blade. Attachments ---------------- IMG_0506.jpg (23KB - 105 downloads) IMG_0507.jpg (19KB - 124 downloads)

Posts: 572 | nice bucktail. thanks for picture showing spinner on tail. the hidden spinner blade is a neat idea. It would be nice to see a video of how the bait looks in the water. Your friend should be happy.

Posts: 572 | I believe those are not feathers, but barred rabbit strips, which are sometimes referred to as zonk strips,

Posts: 1080 Location: Aurora | Bingo, zonks or zonkers are easy to find and add to yer tails if yer so inclined. I believe Shumway (available in stores) is making tails with zonker trailers now too. Pretty durable depending on the hide thickness. Poor little guys.. Attachments ---------------- Aww.jpg (5KB - 130 downloads)

Posts: 1080 Location: Aurora | Nothin news-worthy, really. Recycling/modifying some old Eagle Tails. The hair he used was so long & lush but layin in boxes makes um flat so I push the bodies back against the weights so they flair more, check the threads, add some saddle, extra weight, blades, an eye bead, trebles if they want, etc. Takes a while werkin with the bicycle spoke wires George used cuz ya gotta drill everything out but most of his mojo is still intact.
