Posts: 187 Location: West Metro, MN | I am a North Metro member, but now live on the west side, so I am happy to see the addtional west side lakes added. If any members that live on the east side want to venture west I may have an open seat or two for Waconia or Tonka. Just PM me on here as we get closer to the season. Jason

Posts: 470 Location: Blaine, MN | I dropped one night of Ball to finally fish this league... been saying I'm going to do it for 3 years, and finally pulled the trigger...Keystone Light for all at the ramp after fishing hours. I will probably need a partner on the East side a few nights. Edited by short STRIKE 3/17/2014 11:23 AM

Posts: 304 Location: Lino Lakes, MN | If you want to get your name on a list of participants please send me an e-mail at [email protected]. I will also have a sign up list at the expo. I will not share your e-mail and contact info outside of the league group. This message board would work really good for finding partners for the league nights as well. We should get together in May sometime to meet others that intend on fishing the league. We could put some faces with names and exchange contact info. Most nights we meet at the accesses as everone is pulling off and chat for a bit to share what worked and what didn't. Thank you for the interest in the League Good Luck Steve

Posts: 164 Location: Twin Cities | Here is our website. The league has undergone a lot of changes this winter and what Sorgy posted is the latest info. Our club has a lot of great people and I personally fish with 3 or 4 guys regularly who I met through the league/club. nmmuskies.com

Posts: 304 Location: Lino Lakes, MN | Irish, Stop by the North Metro Muskies Inc booth at the expo. Some of the guys who fish the league can tell you more about the league and our chapter. The prizes will be awarded to chapter members. You can fish with non members if you want. The league gets interesting after a few fish are caught and guys start working to find partners for the rest of the nights. It can become friendly competition. We usually catch some nice fish and winners usually fish with multiple partners. It is a great way for new members to meet our group. Thanks for your interest Steve

Posts: 101 | Hi All; Besides all the other great improvements for the North Metro Chapter League Contest, we are working on possibly adding a Championship (WWF Wrestling style) Belt for the Winner to brandish each year! The intent of our League Nights is to get guys out and make new friendships that last a life time. The bonus partner points as well as the New MI Member Partner points are there to help encourage that. Come by our free Poolside Lure Demo Meeting featuring Brett Erickson of Thorne Brothers on Tuesday June 20th at the Sheraton Minneapolis West 12201 Ridgedale Dr, Minnetonka, MN 55305 and meet some members and future fishing partners. You do not have to be a member to attend. Dan Mruz NMMI Chapter President

Posts: 304 Location: Lino Lakes, MN | Short Strike, The no wake was lifted on Sunday I believe. I talked to Josh at Blue Ribbon Bait over lunch yesterday and he stated the river is droping. If we get heavy rains over the weekend it may be a short night on Tuesday. Head out make a casts and make the best of the high water. Good luck Steve p.s. I may head out of the Boom Site on Tuesday Evening.

Posts: 304 Location: Lino Lakes, MN | We will have 2 boats on Bald Eagle tonight with PIT Tag readers in the boat. Please call 651-792-5502 or 651 592-5875 if you catch anything tonight. We would like to scan the fish for a pit tag. One of our goals as a chapter is to support reasearch. We purchased 3 pit tag readers to help with the DNR's Study of Fingerling vs Yearling fish to stock. Starting 3 years or so ago on White Bear Lake, Bald Eagle and Lake Minnetonka every stocked fish was tagged with a yellow tag and a pit tag- The pit tags are under the skin and not visible at all. All 3 lakes recieve stockings of yearling and fingerlings at a ration of 1 Yearling to each 3 fingerlings. The return of tag information and pit tag info will help the DNR track the fish for suvival and growth/recapture rates. Thank You Steve
