A very beatifull fish but for 47" she measures the claimed 24kg is a remarkelble weight, not in line with the statistics.

One of two 46" northerns I've caught in Quebec 2 years apart. I always take some muskie baits with me but always end up sizing down to some smaller grim reaper SB or smaller mepps muskie killers . Does anyone have luck with larger baits like double 10's, bulldawgs, suicks, etc... on Pike?

I'm from Europe, I mainly use musky baits, 8-10-12 inch jerkbaits, 8-10" crancks, 9-10-12" suicks, DC 7-8-9-10s, magnum dawgs, sometimes pounders, magnums seems to get the most hit though, but the pounders gets slammed as well, 8-10-13-15" paddle tail swimmbaits, 10-12" Redoctober tubes.
PB is a 45.7 inch, 28.9pound pike, so far gonna get bigger

We've seen some giants in some of the coves and bays up there. All the times Ive been there we've never thought to fish them...I honestly think there may be muskies too.

Theres also some monsters that roam Chequamegon bay. Caught a few low 40s through the ice and had a buddy lose one that was unreal big.

Chequamegon Bay is not bad for pike. I know quite a few guys that troll for walleyes and pick them up. Keeper size is 26'' (I think), and it seems like the ones caught are mostly bigger than that.

Yes it's not clear if the weight of the net was subtracted.I presume it was weighed again on land but don't know any more info.

39lbs 12 ozs. One of the biggest Irish fish to be reported in years.
