What are the new baits and tackle we need to fill our boxes and boats with?

Tackle Industries will have new 7', 7'6", 8'6" rods, many new lures and some new custom painted SuperD swimbaits in 5oz and 8oz sizes. Also be on the lookout for our new Camo-D lures. They will be available in booths supporting Veterans charities/outings. $15 suggested donation for either size and 100% will go towards the charity. I also had a group back out on buying 150 6' youth musky rods so, I will be running a special on the youth rods at the shows. Probably $50 vs $80 retail. And of course all kids who stop by the TI booth will get a free $12-$15 musky lure (Super Cisco, Nibbler or MiniD). We will also have 6 new bass rods out and will have a few at the shows. New brand is called VEXAN bass rods. Also some new bass blade baits and swimbaits will be at the shows but in small quantities.

Here are the shows we will be attending this year:

Chicago Musky Show:

Jon,
Tell us about the grub. Saw them on MTO. Any specific place or condition that you find it to be the choice over the traditional jig?

I would love to be able to get a booth at the shows and share my latest baits with everyone. With a new baby, 3 year old and everything else I'm not sure I can make it happen this year, but it sure would be awesome! Maybe I can find a nice vendor to snag some but if not... at least my local shops will have some for the upcoming season.

One way or another, this season I will proudly introduce the "Tweaker Tail" , The "Winner Spinner", Jumbo "Silent But Deadly" and another bait I've been working on that I haven't really named yet.

Hawkeye...Thanks for asking. It's basically a 16" twister tailed grub. It's a monster really. I make matching jigs for it. I don't use it for vertical jigging but rather casting and straight retrieve or jigging it back. It was great for the open water bite this year, as was the Hot Orba, and is selling well especially to Europe for pike. It comes in 10 colors.

Custom X will be showcasing the new High impact plastic lures the 5" Mini X, 6" Chubby X, and the 8" Mini X. We also will have the Fury in 6.5 and limited quantities of the 9.5. These are all wood machined bodies. Have been great trolling lures this past year. Also, was not going to bring it out yet but the 12" KC SPECIAL is going to be in Thorne Brothers booth this year. Its the 12" Magnum X only it has a smaller lip. Big 12" bait that runs shallow and is very castable. Find them in Thorne Brothers booth. Also. standard colors of the 5" Mini X, 6" Chubby X, and 8" Mini X will be in Rollies and Helens Booths. I will be showcasing 8 custom colors in all the sizes.

Bondy, do those jigs have any action on the pull when you are swimming them in?

Thanks guys. Tungsten is out of my league right now to be quite honest, and when retrieved in the tail is pretty awesome, and there is a slight wobble side to side.

Looking for Jeff Anderson's (BIGTOOTH TACKLE) Klack baits....guided a women from Walker who never caught a muskie by casting before and she caught 3 with chances at 3 others. Never seen a fish all day on any other bait...Load the boat up on these baits!

Migizi Fishing Rods has a new 7'6" jerkbait rod along with 4 new walleye/bass spinning rods. The walleye/bass spinning rods are so sensitive you can feel the fish swim by the bait! They are built to last and have a lifetime warranty as well. We will also be introducing a new grilling spatula with a muskie cut out in it.

+1on the bigtooth klack bait. Very well thought out bait that produces big! Also, the loudest bait I've seen.

Don't forget to stop by the Migizi Fishing Rods booth and get your picture with the snake...sorry I cannot include the girl but the snake does tend to attract them!

Had some people asking about the walleye rods and how much they and the spatula were. Here is the rundown:

All spinning rods with my custom high modulus graphite blanks for extra sensitivity and great lifting power, the highest grade cork you can get and my upgraded titanium framed stainless steel nitrite coated guides. Handcrafted right here in the good ol' USA! The 6'6" rods list at $279 and the 7' at $289. If you come to any shows, I run a show special discount on all my rods.

The muskie spatula is $30.

Klack bait will be the hottest new bait for '14. If you fish pressured waters you better have a couple! saw pictures of a pretty massive 56" caught on one the first day the guy used it.

I threw first prototypes of this klack bait and have to say that muskies haven't seen this before. Sure it's a buzz bait, but with a large profile and better hook ups. The footage proves it works!
