Location: MN | Green Chartreuse Glitter added to the line. Skirt are combo of 3 colors: white, chartreuse & lime silicone, plus emerald saltwater flash.
It should be really good in muddy/stained water What do you think guys?

The heads are powder painted, baked in the oven and then 2 layers of Devcon 30 minutes epoxy on top.

| Do you rotate the 30 minute epoxy? The reason I'm asking is I'm building a musky sized spinner bait with a resin head. Been trying to make a decision on the best way to clear the head as I do not have a turner. This is my first scratch lure so very new to the process. I appreciate your advice. |

Location: MN | No. I don't rotate the heads . No need. I use acid brushes to apply Devcon and then after 10-15 minutes heat the heads with heat gun (450F, low level) to remove the bubbles and make sure the finish is flawless. Then they are going to rack to cure. Resin head? Interesting. I'd like to see how your spinnerbaits will look. Please keep us posted.

| Thanks Archie. I'll post a pic once I get through it. I've been taking my time with it, I have an idea of what I want, but I really want it to turn out well so spending time on each step. That and having two little kids at home... you know how it goes. |

Yours has a nice tight turn. Fred Good tools (Knipex Round Nose pliers: must have for .062 wire) and some practice for the last 6-7 years

I have couple patterns pretty similar to the Double Cowgirl above. I don't have glow blades, but I have glow skirts (they look silver-ish under daylight and glow after dark). Mix of black and silver flash + plus mix of glow and black silicone should work for the skirt. Head: either black, Black/Silver glitter or my signature Grey Ghost. I'll try to make and let see what I can come up with

Maybe a dumb question but how do you get a consistent clean bend in the top of your spinnerbait? Every time I try something they look different. Yours has a nice tight turn.
Buy the biggest ones (7.5" i think). Grab the wire with the jaws where you want the bend. Bend the blade arm of the bait with your other hand away from the jaws until the wire is in half. Cut with knipex mini bolts. Squeeze the joint together with vice grips carefully.
I get great bends doing this, very consistant. Those knipex round nose are the only tool you can do this with. Spend the cash and get them.
