Hi Richard,
Is it possible to convert Revo Toro Beast BST61-HS to 4.9:1 ?
If so, what parts are needed?
Thanks

Thanks

But to get left gears is very hard to get and expensive
Call ABU for parts and cost
I stock NO LEFT HAND REEL PARTS !!!

Thanks for reply Pikemaster!
I'm not lefty, I just reel with my left hand like most Europeans
Would you know what parts need to be swapped?
Abu doesn't even have the part list for these reels on line.

Thanks

It's to hard to say without looking at the reel foot #
There is like 2 different sets of gears so it's very hard to say
Without seeing the reel.

Should be just the main gear and pinion gear, but I'll try to post the schematic for the 61 in 4.9 tomorrow from my work computer. Or both 61's so you can compare

Yes sorry for the delay
Came down and pneumonia
I'm so I'm like months behind !!!!
Trying to do reels and answer like 50 plus texts a day !!
I will get to your reels next week for sure
There are over 600 reels in my shop it takes me 1 to 2 hours a reel so you do the math
Sorry I'm trying, plus I have a full time job I'm trying to catch up with it also.

Hi Richard,
looks like you are back at it, I hope you feel good now
Yesterday when fishing I noticed that my 2 year old Lexa300 line guide started to stick in the far left, and I had to poke it with my finger to get it move in the opposite direction.
Got home, took the reel a part, and looks like this one was made Friday afternoon since when I removed the drive shaftthe back bearing was not there
Pretty disappointed with Daiwa manufacturing!
It is $1.60 part but it will be pain to get it, would you know the size of the bearing?
Part 140-1280
I'm also surprised that I didn't notice any difference from other 300 I have, and that one has the bearing installed.
Also, thinking about swapping the plastic bushing in the spool tensioner for bearing, I presume the 140-1500 would fit? to my surprise its way more expensive then the drive shaft bearing $6.70.
Thanks

That Bearing will keep the drive shaft from flexing on hook sets and when the spool is under load. The Lexa is a Price Point reel for Diawa so it is lacking in some area's.

3x8x4 for the bushing in the side plate that the spool shaft fits in.

The plastic bushing that supports the Pinion Gear is the one that will wear out fast !!
Not sure if a bearing can be made to fit there

Hey Richard,

Just checking in to see if I'm going to get the wife's lexa 400 back in time for MN opener. If not then I need to purchase another reel for her.

Thanks,

Scott

Sorry to hear about the pneumonia. Hope you are on the mend.
Just checking status on reels I sent to you. Even if you can't get to them I need them back by opener if possible as I am going on a week vacation. Let me know. Thanks!

I'm assuming it wasn't first in, first out. My reels were sent in February. Would hate for the season to start without them while someone else who gave you a reel at the MN show already got theirs.
