I've finally talked my gf into a northwoods camping trip and were looking at the Minocqua area. I don't have a boat and definitely need to be able to rent one. The only campsite with rental boats i've found is Arbor Vitae Campground. How is muskie fishing at Big Arbor Vitae? Wisconsin DNR website lists it as class A2 muskie fishery, but that hasn't been updated in a few years. I would like to beat my PB(only 44") while on this trip. Are there any other campgrounds or resorts with camping and boat rentals on any of the other lakes in the area?? All help/recommendations is greatly appreciated!

if it's her first time north and first time camping ... for sure Indian Shores. George runs a clean and well-organized place with a ton of options with their own private launch. it's really convenient and a well-run campground. the chain has some great fishing for all species with some solid musky fishing.
