Location: Becker MN | Topwater baits, bulged bucktails or something to bump structure.
Don't think matters what to throw as fish will find the bait, just for my confidence I would throw those. Topewater and bucktails to see a follow, and bumping structure is a trigger anyway but would make me feel better in the muddy water. |

| something that puts out vibration and sound, in my experience color in murky water is less important than the sound and vibes. Some lakes I fish golden shiners are a huge food source and they are the same color as the water! |

Try very shallow. If you are talking this time of year, VERY shallow. If the water is stirred up all year, the inside of the weedlines can be as good as the outside edges in clearer water. Employ the light day, light color, dark day, dark color lure axiom. If there's rocks and wind, get shallow there too. |

Location: Cedarburg, Wisconsin | Depends on whether muddy is normal or abnormal conditions.
If it was normal I'd use the biggest thumping blades I could find in the hottest colors, or jointed cranks with loud rattles.
If it was abnormal I'd use live bait shallow out of any current or wind. |

Location: Pewaukee, Wisconsin | Just fish it like normal. Muddy water is not a problem for the fish to eat.
Shallow warm water will get you the most action. Don't let the conditions get you out of your game. Just fish it.
I have caught fish on gliders in coffee colored water where I couldn't even see my bait while figure 8 ing. Best part of muddy water is the fish will not see your boat like they can in clear water.
Big rubber baits displacing water, rattle baits, big spinners can call in fish from a further distance. I like to start out with my regular baits and then go louder and bigger if they don't produce. Most of the time the normal hot baits will produce. You just have to put the baits where the fish are. Big loud baits are hard to use in very skinny water. |

Location: Kronenwetter, WI | Depends who you talk to...everyone tries to fins rules to fish by....usually there are none that are hard and fast. Lots of guys say use loud lures in dark water. Some respected guys say, "Using loud baits in dark water is like speaking loudly at a blind person." The idea here being that these fish have more finely developed lateral lines....I've caught them using loud and quiet baits. |
