Adam has set up the same arrangements as last year for October 22-25.
So far 4 parties have booked and if you enjoyed this outing in the past, give Skyview a call and join us.

Upon further review...it's doubtful we'll be there. Too costly to foot the bill for both of us right now.

make the call
Where else can you get a room and 2 great meals for 50 bucks a day? Not to mention, the worlds largest grasshoppers at a very reasonable northwoods price.
And dozens of good lakes at your doorstep.

With the untimely event of a broken bone in my wrist, I too, will not be able to attend this great outing. I wish all who do attend the best of luck. Have fun, enjoy yourself, and catch alot of fish. Will see you next year for sure.

That sucks Mike, but it also gives me an idea, since you are staying home why don't I drop my kids off at your house, and I will go fish with your dad?

Heading out tomorrow at 530 am and hitting up North and South Twin then heading over to the Skyview tomorrow evening. Looks like it will be a cool wet weekend. Chance of up to 6 in of snow, that could make things interesting. Cant wait to see everyone there!

Have a blast everyone. Post some pictures, if not of fish, at least of a grasshopper or slab of prime rib from the Skyview.

Saturday's forecast looks pretty decent, so it looks like Becky and i might just head up there tonight for the weekend.
drift some suckers during the day, enjoy some prime rib, grasshoppers, and camaraderie at night...you can't go wrong!

Yesterday, Pete (wiskis) got a 33" on a sucker. Today, I had a follow and got 2, a 44" and a 43.25". 44 was on a sucker and the 43" was on a Hoosier handmade glider. Rob lost a nice one which may have been the 44" that I caught.

Finished up the outing by putting 2 more in the boat today. I got a 38.5 on the same Curly Sue, and Rob got a 39 on a sucker. That puts the group up to 11 in total so far for the outing. Had a great time again, and met some great people. Adam took great care of us again at the Skyview, giving Krishna a free trip next year for the first 44 and his 43.25!

Another great outing put on by the crew at Skyview! Outstanding food, drink, and service and good company to share it with. The only thing missing was my injured net man, sure could have used him on Saturday. Congratulations to Mr. Shimkus on your "hawg", you earned it! Hope to see everyone again next year.

P.S. I have no doubt Adam and the staff at Skyview made everyone happy during their stay. Great people, great place and great food!

Am I wrong, but doesn't the 11 fish total top the numbers put up by the Vermilion outing?

Cheeseland remains the musky outing capitol of the world.

the Big V was tough this year, that's for sure.
during the summer outing there were 45 people for a full week: 10 fish.
the fall V outing looked to have 8-10 people (the reports were vague on the numbers) with a couple fish caught in 4 days.

11 fish in 4 days for 12 people at P.I. is pretty good results.
of course, a couple years ago there were 40+ people at the P.I. outing and the fish numbers were pretty low, and concentrated in just a few boats.

i suppose it just shows how big of a factor timing can be, more than anything.

oh yeah, the no-dressing extra-cheese salad was a good warm-up for the prime rib.

Yeah, I was just teasing. You never can tell, can you? That's some affordable and delicious prime rib at the Skyview. Tasty after a cold day. They don't serve baby cocktails in the bar either. Though I haven't done much fishing, and didn't exactly fish my butt off at the first P.I. outing, it was a blast. Lots of camaraderie that weekend and that's all I care about anyway. If I just would have remembered the sammies.

This will continue to be the premier MF outing official or not. Very sad to have missed. Great to see the familiar faces in the photos. Happy to hear of the good luck.

Two trips of the tear... and two places I can't do without: Eagle lake and Presque Isle... But no job + no money + opportunity to work for a few days = no P.I outing, but I was with you guys in spirit. Nice to see my usual boat partner putting numbers in the boat AGAIN... Congratulations, K-Bob!!

No place else is Presque Isle. Adam and the folks at Skyview Lodge are second to none, no doubt about it. And the fishing?

SHHH! The fishing sucks in Vilas county. Seriously, Minnesota is much better. I hear Mille Lacs has been on FIRE!!

So, if I read this correctly, 11 fish, and 5 were out of one boat? I wish I was on board!
