Posts: 123 Location: Bemidji, MN | Hey guys- What kind of plano tackle box are you using to store Mag Dawgs, Mag/Reg SuperD's? I know I can put them in the big muskie tackle box Plano [7915] has but rather use latch tackle boxes for separating rubber baits. I see some use 5 gal buckets to hang and homemade stuff but looking for which size/style Plano or whatever brand latch tackle box some of you use. Any help/info appreciated! Thanks

Posts: 2323 Location: Stevens Point, WI | The Plano 3730 is what most guys use, the deep version is what Plano calls them. You'll need to click on the bottom link on the left side of the page under Stowaway Utility Boxes Here is the link. Look for the Deep Prolatch Stowaway. http://www.planomolding.com/tackle/products.asp

Posts: 223 Location: Minn. | The Plano 3730 is what I have been using. I have Bob Schmidt From Just Encase build me a custom tackile box for Dawgs/SuperD's , Dbl bade baits. It should be done soon, I can't wait to use it. A clear tackle box that you can see all your baits at once. Here is his link. http://www.justencase.com/blog/

Posts: 692 Location: Pelican Rapids, MN | Aside from a regular 3730, these are the boxes I use for bulk dawg storage. A Justencase box and a XXL plano. The plastic sheet is to keep some of the colors from bleeding. Attachments ---------------- DSC_0005.JPG (65KB - 613 downloads) DSC_0006.JPG (59KB - 340 downloads)

Posts: 692 Location: Pelican Rapids, MN | Well I am a rather large mammal, 300 + LBS and I can stand on it! The Justencase model was one I got from them at the MN expo. If you contact Bob and refer to this thread, he may know the exact model. Edited by Jsondag 5/8/2009 4:31 PM

Posts: 148 Location: Excelsior, MN | Quackaddict9 ---- The next size larger size from the 181014D is the 201212. Increases to 4 rows of 6 (24)and larger slots - fits Pounders. Largest current standard ClearView box is 241214 - has either 32 divider slots - 8 - 2.75x2.75, 24 - 3x3 (These are large enough to fit Pounders) or 36 slots that are slightly smaller but will easily fit Magnum Dawgs.

Posts: 223 Location: Minn. | Here are two customs I had Bob make. A14x14x18" high deep trolling box. And a12x24x14"high Dblblade, SuperD, Spinnerbait box. Bob also added a rubber cap over the lock to keep moisture and dirt out. Edited by muskyfvr 5/13/2009 1:37 PM Attachments ---------------- Justencase 127 [640x480].JPG (99KB - 1659 downloads)

Posts: 264 | that justencase box thats advertised on this site looks pretty good for all kinds of big baits. A 5 gallon bucket with little cuts around the rim to hang the hooks on works pretty well.

Posts: 223 Location: Minn. | I would say any one that is 12" to 14" tall, should work fine. The larger the tackle box the heavier it will be. I like the 14" tall box the best.
