Ya, go figure... What I meant was, I think he did a really nice job replicating the coloration and proportions...

It looks great in my office at work. Lots of prospective customers stop to admire it as they get the tour of the building. They always ignore me, the lowly engineer, behind the PC!

I would say it looks like a walleye. Remember walleyes with small heads and big bodies means they grow fast, so they were eating good. I think it's awesome he can capture that charicteristic that's so especially unique to walleye.

Thanks. That nick was a last minute detail joe asked if I wanted in the mount. I said yup, the fish had it...

Mike it's kinda weird I just messaged you asking for a pic of the 57" repro when you had the time...then I went looking at a post about Musky/Pike Attacks and ended up googling every way of "musky cat picture". Low and behold on page 11 of the results the words " 57" Musky " show up above a picture on some Crappie Killer website thats from some place that doesn't look like Wisconsin. Instantly recognized it just looking at the repro. Beauty..hope this helps you out too

Chadster, I'm well aware of what Walleyes look like up to 16.5lbs in the flesh...skin..scales, whatever lol...but the head shape kinda reminded me of a salmon or something, mount still looks great dude.

Here is Mike's 57", (pretty sure atleast)

Boy, maybe its lighting in the photo. I used to do lots of trout fishing, and i don't see any remblance of trout in the mount. I thought you were referencing another one of the walleyes shown, but that one was not 31". I kept looking for another 31, cause mine looks like a walleye to me. This is my largest walleye to date, so I am a little defensive... Don't bash my walleye;)... lol... you know how it goes... If you can't tell, I am also very biased to Joe's work... I just think the realism is in a league of its own.

lol...keep on keeepin on then holy cow, go fish your tribs. I haven't cracked 30" in the eye category yet(29.75") but I'm not going to make a bunch of excuses as to why I haven't lol..maybe it was the lighting, or the ganj.

Thats a good looking mount 50, where from? what i could piece together anyways! wicked headshot :D

I'll guess Advanced Taxidermy or Artistic Anglers.

Placing the order without being found out - should be possible. Proudly hanging it in the den without her seeing it - GOOD LUCK!

Does anybody else notice that one of the big two's repo's have really black eyes. I won't mention who to see if anybody picks up on it, but they look very unnatural. I am wondering if you actually have options with the eye balls.

I will be getting a reproduction this winter but haven't made my decision 100%.

Based on my many years experience as a Fish Taxidermist, I would guess Advanced Taxidermy did it. And if anyone wants to really see a really good detailed Fish Replica, you should visit your state Taxidermy Association's annual competition or better yet, if you are anywhere close to St. Charles, MO this next May (2011), check out the World Taxidermy & Fish Carving Championships. Most would see quality you never knew existed...

This is my 1st post here, if I can figure out how to attach photo will show one of my Musky Replica's.
