The August 7th meeting will be at Perks in Medina.

We will be having an equipment/bait swap....so bring your stuff you don't want and money to buy stuf you might someday need.

We are looking for a new volunteer for the Secretary position. If you don't show up you may be nominated...hehehe

I'll be there! I think. If I remember. And I'm in town. If I remember.

Meetings are always the 1st Tuesday of the month. We voted on an exception for January 2008 to be the second Tuesday because the 1st is on the 1st this year.

We don't have a monthly meeting in February as our banquet takes the place of that and we don't meet in July either.

The Club has a new merchandise site.

I have also added our Musky Contest Forms on the site.

Check it out, they are linked from our home page.

Yes it is full with a waiting list. This is the time of year that if somebody drops out they do. If you are interested contact Jomusky and get on the waiting list.

I don't if anyone from C & R actually reads this since no one has posted here in years but I just wanted to share a moment from my Lake of the Woods trip last week. We stay at King Island and usually get over to the bay around Noche Island. We fished any island that we had some success on in previous years but we noticed something different this year. on one of the points, there was a large boulder and it had a plaque on it. After catching a fish near by, we decided to get up close to be able to read it. It was dedicated to one of your former members (if my research was correct), Mike Reiter. Mike and the musky gods were looking down on us that day because we raised 4 fish and caught 2 around the point where his plaque was and we now call the island Reiter Island in his memory even though I never knew him. If I get around to it, I'll post the video of his plaque and the 2 fish I caught near it.

Just wanted to say whoever did that, it was a very nice gesture to someone that must have loved being up there fishing for muskies. I loved the idea and it was pretty cool to see.

VonBraun,

I am a C&R member. You posted this after our last meeting on 9/6 but there are members on here all the time so I'm sure several of us have seen your post. I'll bring it up at our October meeting just in case. Thanks for posting!

Your comments in the video were right on and the mission of the message plate is obviously being accomplished. I didn't fish with Mike's group up there but I know he loved LOTW. I like it.....Reiter's Island.

A two fish spot for you.....special for several reasons. See if Mike steers a few big ones to that spot going forward.
